Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Database Geologist to join our Energy and Resources Canada West team. The role focuses on integrating, managing, and optimizing large geological datasets to support resource estimation, mining engineering, hydrogeology, mine planning, mineral processing, and financial analysis.

You will lead projects in your area of expertise, participate in multi-disciplinary teams, and assist with business development for existing and new clients.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience managing large, complex databases.
• Experience in exploration and mining projects with focus on data management.
• Strong QA/QC and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain geological databases using Access/SQL or similar.
• Manage large databases with QA/QC protocols.
• Analyze data using Access, Excel, MinePlan, ArcGIS, MapInfo, Torque.
• Build geologic models with MinePlan, Leapfrog, Vulcan.
• Prepare independent technical reports (NI43-101/JORC) after qualification.
• Assist in business development with clients.
