Job summary

TRM Labs is seeking a Senior or Staff Software Engineer, Data Platform to join our Canada team working remotely. You will architect and build scalable data infrastructure, integrate with multiple blockchains, and partner with data scientists, backend engineers and product managers.

You'll design data models, develop ETL pipelines, and ensure sub-second query latency across petabyte-scale datasets. Bring 5+ years in distributed systems and strong Python/SQL skills to a mission-driven company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in architecting distributed system architecture.
• Exceptional programming skills in Python, and strong SQL or SparkSQL.
• Proficiency with data processing and streaming technologies (Spark, Kafka, Flink).

Responsibilities

• Build highly available and scalable data infrastructure for TRM's products.
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines processing petabytes of data in real time.
• Design data models for fast, low-latency queries across large datasets.
• Collaborate with data scientists, backend engineers, and product managers to implement new data features.
• Oversee deployment and monitoring of large database clusters with a focus on performance and reliability.
