Job summary

CIMA+ is seeking a Senior Conveyance Project Manager to lead the design of large, complex Linear Water and Wastewater projects in GTA and Southwestern Ontario. You will mentor staff and drive project delivery across all phases in a hybrid work setting with two days per week in Mississauga or Bowmanville.

The role requires a PE, 12 years of relevant experience, and a track record on multi‑million $ projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institute.
  • Professional Engineer registered with PEO (or eligible to transfer registration to PEO).
  • Minimum 12years of experience working on Linear Water /Wastewater projects.
  • Proven experience delivering projects in value of $2.5 million and up.
  • Experience with tunnelling/trenchless and /or rehabilitation works considered an asset.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative, team environment.
  • Ability to use and coordinate virtual meeting software and lead virtual meetings and workshops
  • Excellent written and verbal communication of project plans and presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage major linear water/wastewater projects through all phases.
  • Prepare and supervise studies, environmental assessments, reports, calculations, plans and contract documents for water and wastewater related projects.
  • Produce cost estimates and construction specifications independently working with project staff.
  • Communicate directly with Clients without the need for assistance and supervision.
  • Lead and/or assist in the pursuit of new projects involving request for proposals with clients, including technical writing and proposal development and production.
  • Build relationships with existing and potential clients in effort to grow the local water and wastewater practice.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategic planning of the Linear Water/Wastewater Group.
  • Manage project resources, schedule, budget, quality management and project risk assessment on behalf of CIMA+ to meet client expectations individually and independently.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, regulatory and utility agencies, project stakeholders, and contractors.
  • Lead and mentor intermediate and junior staff on fundamentals of detail design of linear work and general project management skills. Training and development of junior staff is critical in this role.
  • Assist other offices across Canada in delivering large Linear Water and Wastewater projects.
  • Ability to break projects down into tasks and sequences to ensure project delivery within established scope, schedule and budget.

Job Description

CIMA+’s Infrastructure team combines top-notch skills with an intimate understanding of the local community to deliver customized infrastructure services for municipalities and real-estate developers. We have delivered hundreds of projects across Canada, including innovative solutions for the full spectrum of water and wastewater assets, on time and on budget. We support clients from start to finish, whether for building brand new or assessing, repairing, and expanding on existing infrastructure.


We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Conveyance Project Manager to lead the design of large complex Linear Water and Wastewater projects in GTA and Southwestern Ontario, as well as develop and empower a diverse group of professional staff.


You will have the opportunity to take part in our hybrid work model that includes flexible work hours, including 2 days /week in ourMississauga or Bowmanvilleoffice.


Primary Responsibilities



  • Lead and manage projects and project teams through all phases of project planning, design, construction and commissioning of Major Linear Water and Wastewater projects.

  • Prepare and /or supervise engineering studies, environmental assessments, reports, calculations, plans and contract documents for water and wastewater related projects.
