Remote Project Officer Posting | Spur Change

The Alberta Council for Global Cooperation (ACGC), on behalf of the Inter-Council Network for Provincial and Regional Councils (ICN), is seeking a qualified individual to join this initiative in the role of Project Officer for the Spur Change National Program.

POSITION TITLE: Project Officer
POSITION TYPE: Full time, temporary
SALARY: $45,200/year + benefits
REPORTS TO: Spur Change National Director
LOCATION: Edmonton preferred, from the ACGC office. Remote may be considered.
LANGUAGE: Bilingual, French & English
APPLICATION DEADLINE: 9 July 2023
TERM: 1 August 2023 – 31 March 2024. Possibility of extension pending grant funding.

ACGC, on behalf of the Inter-Council Network, implements a capacity building initiative entitled Spur Change: Knowledge Sharing & Capacity Building, to enhance the contribution of Canadian Small and Medium Organizations (SMOs) to Canada’s international development efforts towards achieving gender equality, the empowerment of women and girls, poverty reduction, and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide full program administrative support, including assisting with administration, finance, logistics, and communications.
  2. Support the monitoring activities of the Spur Change program, in accordance with Global Affairs Canada (GAC) standards.
