Job summary

WCG is seeking a Platform Engineering Manager to lead the design and operation of the cloud platform as a product. You will drive automation, self-service capabilities, and developer experience, with ownership of Azure-based infrastructure (and AWS exposure), IaC, and secure, scalable integrations.

You will partner with Security, Architecture, and Development teams to embed security by design, advance AI-enabled platform capabilities, and improve observability, governance, and reliability across

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement across cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering; 3+ years in leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define, build, and operate the internal platform as a product with clear users and outcomes.
• Develop and execute a platform roadmap, service catalog, and self-service capabilities.
• Improve developer experience by reducing friction and increasing autonomy.
• Architect and manage Azure and AWS environments with HA, DR, resilience.
• Lead IaC adoption (Terraform, Bicep, ARM) and secure pipelines.
• Define scalable, secure infrastructure patterns and cost controls.
• Embed security into CI/CD and platform services with zero-trust concepts.
• Implement automated security controls and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee IAM including lifecycle, federation, and RBAC.
• Leverage AI/ML for insights, efficiency, and productivity.
• Establish reusable integration patterns across systems (APIs, events).
• Advance CI/CD maturity and release automation.
• Enable automated provisioning and deployment workflows.
