Job summary

BinSentry seeks a conscientious part-time Field Technician to install and service our sensors across multiple regions. You will drive from a home base to rural farm locations, perform quick installations, and ensure devices operate correctly while maintaining fuel and mileage logs.

Strong safety practices and English communication are required. The role involves climbing bins, working at heights, and lifting up to 50 lbs in varied weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fall protection certification and familiarity with safety protocols.
• Clean driving record and ability to drive 8–10 hours per day.
• Reliable smartphone use and ability to take basic measurements.
• Organizational and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication in English with customers.

Responsibilities

• Drive to rural areas to install & service devices on farm locations, ranging from 1-50 in a given day.
• Disinfect tires and boots, climb feed bins 10–40 ft tall and install sensors and solar panels.
• Troubleshoot basic field device issues where applicable.
• Maintain mileage records and timesheets while adhering to biosecurity rules.

We are seeking a conscientious, qualified part time Field Technician who can install and service our devices across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive to rural areas to install & service our devices on farm locations, ranging from 1-50 in a given day.
• At the site, you will be required to disinfect tires and boots, climb feed bins that range between 10 and 40 ft tall and install our sensor and small solar panel inside the site’s bin. The installation typically takes 10 – 15 minutes.
• Troubleshoot basic issues on field devices (requiring service) where applicable.
• Adhere to biosecurity rules where required for each farm location.
• Maintain accurate mileage records and time sheets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Working at heights certification, with a full understanding of how to use fall protection equipment.
• Clean driving record with ability to drive 8 – 10 hrs per day
• Reliable smartphone with basic knowledge of how to use it and take basic measurements.
• Organizational and problem solving skills
• Great communication skills to work with customers and ability to communicate in English
• Positive attitude and service minded.
• Solid work ethic and a high standard for yourself and respect for others
• Trustworthy, prompt and reliable.
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
• Physically able to climb and lift more than 50lbs.
