The HR Pro is hiring a Mortgage Underwriter & Fulfillment Specialist for a fully remote role based in Ontario. The position emphasizes end-to-end file ownership from post-intake to funding, with a focus on underwriting, submission, and client communication.

A background in broker-channel mortgage operations is preferred. The role supports back-end processes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely funding while collaborating with a seasoned agent on diverse files.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of mortgage underwriting and fulfillment experience within the broker channel.
• Familiarity with A, B and private lending environments.
• Strong understanding of self-employed income review, rental property financing and credit-challenged and alternative lending scenarios.
• Experience using mortgage submission platforms; Velocity experience a plus.
• Strong knowledge of lender guidelines and deal structuring fundamentals.
• Close attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and completeness.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of files from post-intake through to funding.
• Review applications, credit, and supporting documentation.
• Structure deals based on lender guidelines and client profiles.
• Submit files through Velocity or similar platforms.
• Coordinate client communication and document collection.
• Manage lender communication, conditions, and follow-ups.
• Ensure files are complete, logical, and submission-ready.
• Proactively move files forward to meet financing timelines.
• Assist with general administrative tasks as needed.
