Job summary

Scale AI, Inc. is seeking a highly qualified Fellow for the Human Frontier Collective program. This fully remote, 1099 independent contractor role lasts about six months with potential extension.

Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada and bring a PhD or postdoctoral background in CS/CE, plus 1–3+ years as an ML Engineer or Data Scientist. You'll work on ML projects leveraging PyTorch/TensorFlow, AWS cloud, and MLOps tools like Docker and Langchain, while engaging with a global network

Qualifications

• PhD or postdoctoral degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-3+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or Data Scientist.
• Strong proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and MLOps tools (Docker, Langchain) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Engage in high-impact ML projects and optimize PyTorch models for efficiency and correctness.
• Participate in the HFC community and collaborate with a global network of experts.
• Apply research to design, evaluate, and interpret advanced generative AI systems.
