Job summary

Instacart is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer in Canada to collaborate with senior engineers and product leaders as part of a team that develops and enhances the Ads systems. You will apply ML to ads selection, ranking, bidding and auction across consumer surfaces and Ads Ecosystems, guiding projects from concept through prototyping to launch.

The Ads Response Prediction team builds systems and models to deliver a relevant ads experience across platforms, partnering with PMs, data scientists

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in ML/CS, statistics, or a related field.
• Strong programming and data manipulation skills (SQL, Spark, Pandas).
• Experience with ML and DL techniques.
• Excellent communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy ML solutions including data pipelines, model architectures and serving integrations.
• Formulate and scope ambiguous modeling problems from first principles with clear evaluation criteria.
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and infrastructure engineers to create impactful ML applications.
• Push the envelope on operational efficiency by refining algorithms and models.
• Publish and present findings, contribute to design reviews and retrospectives.
