Job summary

Prime is seeking a Medical Writer to develop scientifically accurate medical communications for pharmaceutical clients. The role combines writing with project delivery, requiring collaboration with clinical and editorial teams.

You will contribute to abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and slide decks, while managing timelines and budget adherence in a fast-paced agency setting. Remote work is available for candidates in the Greater Toronto area.

Qualifications

• Life sciences degree; science masters/PhD preferred.
• 1+ year writing for pharmaceutical clients in an agency setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced agency environment.
• Willingness to learn new therapy areas and disease states.
• Proactive updates and feedback with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Outlook and Adobe.

Responsibilities

• Prepare copy for medical communication projects: abstracts, posters, manuscripts and slide decks.
• Ensure delivery within budget and deadlines.
• Liaise with clients and external thought leaders for smooth project flow.
• Incorporate internal/external review comments for accuracy and compliance.
• Share information with editorial and client services teams.
• Maintain awareness of therapeutic areas, competitors and new data.
• Discuss changes in project scope that affect budgets and forecasts.
• Track time and complete timesheets weekly.
