Job summary

Varsity Tutors is seeking Math 2 tutors to join our online platform. You will teach Advanced Mathematics concepts, including quadratic functions, geometry, and probability, to high school students via the Live Learning Platform.

As a tutor, you set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and can work from home. The platform offers AI-powered tools to enhance sessions and handles payments. Remote work is supported with flexible hours and fast compensation.

Qualifications

• Advanced Subject Mastery: deep knowledge of quadratic functions and equations, similarity, right triangle trigonometry, circles and their properties, probability, polynomial operations, and geometric proof.
• Conceptual Teaching & Problem-Solving: ability to explain completing the square, trigonometric ratios, circle theorems, and conditional probability while preparing for advanced integrated mathematics.
• Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: familiar with Integrated Math 2 curricula and Common Core standards, adapt instruction with scaffolds.
• Effective Teaching Methods: identify concepts students struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, adapt to learning styles.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly teaching style.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring to individual students.
• Offer on-demand tutoring sessions when available.
