Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a remote team of quantum software engineers in the development of quantum algorithms, compilers, and software frameworks. Collaborate closely with quantum hardware teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of software on quantum processors. Document software designs, APIs, and user guides, ensuring clear communication with users and stakeholders. Participate in strategic planning for the quantum software roadmap and contribute to technical decision-making. Foster a collaborative and productive remote work environment for the software engineering team.

Requirements

Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Quantum Information Science, Physics, or a related field with a strong software engineering background. Minimum of 8 years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years focused on quantum computing software development. Proven experience in leading software engineering teams, preferably in a remote setting. Deep understanding of quantum mechanics, quantum algorithms, and quantum computing principles. Expertise in programming languages such as Python, C++, and experience with quantum programming frameworks (e.g., Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane). Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns. Experience with cloud platforms and distributed systems is a plus. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a remote team. Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver high-quality software.
