Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Information Security Engineer for a fully remote role. You will design, develop, and implement robust security solutions, set technical direction, and mentor junior engineers to align with business objectives and best practices.

You will lead security architecture across cloud and on-prem technologies, oversee core security tools, and drive secure SDLC integration while staying ahead of emerging threats to protect critical assets at a global scale.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in information security engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
• Expertise in network security, cloud security, and application security principles.
• Strong hands-on experience with security technologies and platforms.
• Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python, Ansible) for security operations.
• Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of secure, scalable security systems.
• Oversee the implementation and management of core security technologies (firewalls, WAFs, IDS/IPS, encryption).
• Develop and enforce security engineering standards and best practices across the organization.
• Mentor and guide a team of information security engineers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the SDLC and infrastructure deployment.
• Stay abreast of emerging threats and technologies, proactively enhancing security defenses.
