Salary: $48,500 with monthly bonuses

Training: Strong mandatory training of 7 weeks

Schedule: May vary between Monday through Sunday (day or evening)

The role involves reviewing and evaluating delinquent, high risk, or written-off accounts for collections opportunities. It requires understanding customer needs, providing collections-related sales and service, advising on payment strategies, and fulfilling sales and service activities according to procedures. Support areas include coaching, training, quality audits, vendor management, and credit disputes.

1. Deliver exceptional customer service to build trust through expertise and responsiveness.
2. Develop rapport and credibility with clients as a relationship manager.
3. Maintain and expand long-term, profitable customer relationships.
4. Implement loss mitigation procedures for non-performing and high risk accounts.
5. Handle incoming calls professionally and efficiently.
6. Understand customer needs and advise on payments and collections strategies.
7. Communicate with clients, process transactions, and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
8. Incorporate marketing promotions into customer interactions as appropriate.
9. Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations.
10. Manage transactions and escalate complex issues to managers.
11. Complete documentation accurately and organize work information.
12. Participate in the collections lifecycle, including executing loss mitigation solutions.
13. Follow policies and procedures for transactions and activities.
14. Stay informed about collections strategies, trends, and regulatory environment.
15. Maintain confidentiality of customer and bank information.
16. Support process improvements and industry awareness.
17. Handle diverse tasks within rules and limits, analyze issues, and escalate as needed.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of relevant experience and post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of laws pertaining to Consumer Collections.
• Familiarity with BMO products, services, and marketplace trends.
• Basic specialized knowledge.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good organizational, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

You must be fluent in French and English, as support is provided to clients and team members inside and outside Quebec.

Salary Range:

$35,000.00 - $52,000.00

Pay Type:

Salaried, with possible commissions and other benefits as detailed on the company's benefits page.
