Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of physical geography, human geography, map reading and spatial analysis, climate and weather systems, population distribution, cultural geography, economic geography, and environmental issues.
• Ability to explain plate tectonics, climate zones, demographic transitions, and urbanization patterns for exams including AP Human Geography.
• Familiar with high school geography curricula and common challenges; adapts instruction with mapping activities, GIS demonstrations, and current events analysis.
• Identify concepts students struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to learning styles.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
