Job summary

Race Roster North America Corporation (doing business as ASICS Apps Canada) is seeking an Intermediate Software Developer in Canada. You will develop, test, and maintain software for the Race Roster product with moderate supervision, contributing to design discussions and mentoring junior developers.

The role offers flexibility to work remotely from within Canada, or in a hybrid setup near the London, Ontario area, with collaboration across frontend and backend teams, testing, and Agile

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE or equivalent.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and technologies.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms and design patterns.
• Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies.
• Experience with database systems (SQL and/or NoSQL).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Code development: design, develop, and maintain frontend and backend code.
• Testing and debugging: write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; resolve bugs.
• Design and architecture: participate in design discussions and contribute to architecture.
• Mentorship: guide junior developers and share knowledge.
• Code reviews to ensure quality and maintainability.
• Collaboration with product owners and stakeholders to deliver software.
• Performance optimization: address bottlenecks and improve efficiency.
• Address technical debt and propose improvements.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies.
