Job summary

Mozilla's Firefox team is seeking a front-end engineer on a fixed-term contract to implement new screen sharing features. You will translate approved UX into production code, ship changes to Firefox, and collaborate across time zones with a distributed team.

You will work with UX, QA, and code reviewers on Phabricator, gaining experience in WebRTC, accessibility, and automated UI testing while contributing to a widely used global product.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing an approved design faithfully, with judgment to flag when the design meets a case it didnt anticipate
• Ability to get productive quickly in a large, mature codebase you didnt write
• Experience writing automated tests for user interfaces
• Strong asynchronous written communication across time zones
• Experience using AI tooling effectively in front-end development
• Accessibility experience with modal dialogs and list navigation

Responsibilities

• Implement approved UX designs for Firefox's screen, window, and tab sharing experience, and see them through to release
• Collaborate with UX on cases a design didnt anticipate, and with QA on validating the result
• Land your work in mozilla-central through public code review on Phabricator
