Job summary

Artelia Canada is seeking a Software Engineer (.NET / C# and AI/IoT) to design, develop, and optimize backend services with a focus on real-time data transmission and RTLS solutions.

You will work on multidisciplinary, experimental projects involving IoT and AI, building datasets for training models and integrating AI modules into the .NET ecosystem, with strong bilingual collaboration across national teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem for backend services.
• Experience with real-time data streams or software-hardware integrations.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases for high-throughput data storage and processing.
• Knowledge of Python and AI/data management tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of IoT technologies (MQTT, AMQP, WebSockets) is a plus.
• Proficiency in English and French, written and spoken, is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize high-performance backend applications using C# and .NET Core/.NET.
• Maintain and enhance real-time data transmission systems and RTLS protocols.
• Ensure reliability, low latency, and scalability for spatial data processing.
• Collaborate on IoT and AI projects to integrate new features.
• Build and manage datasets for AI model training and data labelling.
• Develop Python scripts to automate data processing workflows.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in spatial data, real-time systems, and hardware-software integrations.
• Collaborate with diverse technical teams to ensure quality and evolution of solutions.
