Job summary

Outlier is an AI training platform operated by Scale AI. We invite detail-oriented English speakers to review AI-generated media by holding live conversations with AI voice models, ranking outputs, and writing explanations in English.

This is a freelance 1099 contract with flexible, remote work across multiple time zones. You will evaluate images, videos, and captions, and provide clear, concise judgments about adherence to prompts, quality, and realism.

Qualifications

• Fluent English with strong written communication.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to replay or zoom in when something seems off.
• Able to discuss realistic scenarios clearly and naturally.
• Experience writing concise, evidence-based reviews.
• Able to decide clearly when options have flaws.
• Nice to have: pursuing or holding a Bachelor's degree or above.

Responsibilities

• Holding a live, scenario-based conversation in English with AI voice models and ranking how natural, useful, and clear each exchange sounded.
• Comparing pairs of AI-generated images and videos and judging which one better follows the prompt.
• Inspecting outputs closely, including zooming in and replaying, to spot problems like distorted anatomy, flickering or unnatural motion, text errors, and audio that doesn’t match the video.
• Rating each output across dimensions like adherence, quality, and realism, then writing a specific explanation in English that points to what you saw or heard.
