Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Edmonton is seeking a Station Engineer to create drawing packages for utility customers, including layouts, elevations, plan views, details, and cable schedules. You will develop equipment orientation and support other designer tasks during peak load times.

You will apply your Electrical Engineering background to deliver accurate drawings, perform station engineering calculations, and train junior staff as needed, contributing to project scoping and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Substation Engineering.
• Proficiency in design, analysis, and implementation software and tools.
• Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and adherence to quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Create drawing packages: layouts, elevations, plan views, details, and cable schedules.
• Create one-line diagrams and equipment orientation.
• Develop physical layouts and cable schedules from project scope.
• Revise existing layouts for retrofit of new equipment.
• Manage percent complete and update associated documents.
• Perform station engineering calculations and system modeling.
• Assist in training of new Station Engineers.
• Project scoping and documentation management.
