Job summary

Varsity Tutors is seeking online Elementary School Science tutors to support students nationwide. You can set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and work from home. The platform handles invoicing and payments, with payments issued up to twice per week.

Ideal candidates have deep knowledge of life, earth, and physical sciences, familiarity with NGSS for grades 1–5, and strong communication skills. Remote tutoring on our Live Learning Platform is required.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of life science, earth science, physical science, and scientific inquiry methods.
• Familiar with elementary science standards for grades 1-5 and NGSS.
• Able to tailor instruction to diverse learning needs and styles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct 1-on-1 online tutoring sessions.
• Explain concepts using multiple teaching approaches.
• Adapt instruction to student learning styles and needs.
