Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Data Analyst to drive insights from mining operations data. This fully remote role lets you work from anywhere while contributing to critical decision-making across sites.

You will collect, clean, analyze, and visualize large datasets on production, efficiency, safety, and costs, using SQL, Python or R, and Tableau or Power BI. You will communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, supporting data-driven actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Statistics/Data Science/CS/Engineering).
• Minimum 4 years of Data Analyst experience, preferably in mining or industrial sectors.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI).
• Strong knowledge of statistics and programming in Python or R.
• Excellent communication and remote collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and transform data from various sources.
• Perform statistical analysis to identify trends and anomalies in mining data.
• Develop dashboards and reports using Tableau/Power BI to track KPIs.
• Collaborate with operations managers, engineers, and geologists to understand data needs.
• Build predictive models to forecast production and optimize resources.
• Document data sources, methodologies, and findings clearly.
