Job summary

Intersect is seeking a hands‑on cybersecurity leader to own and scale a cloud‑first program across SaaS, cloud, and endpoints. You’ll partner with IT, engineering, and business teams to embed strong security into daily operations and build resilient systems that support growth.

You will guide threat detection, incident response, and security awareness, while maturing controls, frameworks, and vendor risk management to protect critical infrastructure and data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of cybersecurity experience in IT or corporate environments, including building or scaling security programs.
• Proven ability to independently own and operate a cybersecurity function or program.
• Hands‑on expertise with Okta (IAM), SIEM platforms, Google Workspace security, GCP security tools, and CrowdStrike.
• Experience securing SaaS environments, including access governance and vendor risk management.
• Strong foundation in cloud and network security architecture, including IAM frameworks and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and respond to security incidents independently.
• Experience supporting audits and aligning security practices with industry standards and frameworks.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally across IT and operational systems to drive security outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Define, own, and scale Intersect’s cybersecurity program for a cloud-first environment.
• Establish security policies, frameworks, and controls aligned with business objectives.
• Partner cross‑functionally to integrate security into design, infrastructure, and operations.
• Implement security across Okta, Google Workspace, GCP, SIEM, and CrowdStrike.
• Maintain security controls across SaaS apps, including access governance and vendor risk.
• Strengthen email security and phishing prevention programs.
• Own incident response processes from detection to resolution.
• Build and refine monitoring with SIEM and endpoint tools to identify threats.
• Continuously assess vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
• Champion security awareness through training and cross‑functional collaboration.
