Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. invites an Intermediate Coastal Engineer to join our Water Resources Technical Team.

The position is remotely located in one of our British Columbia offices, supporting coastal and river projects. You will develop hydrodynamic models using MIKE 3/MIKE 21/Telemac, apply hydrologic and hydraulic methods, prepare technical reports, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams while upholding HSSE standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate engineering degree focusing on hydrodynamics, water resources, or hydrology.
• Professional registration with PEO or PGO eligibility to obtain P.Eng. or P.Geo.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in consulting or regulatory environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop hydrodynamic models using MIKE 3, MIKE 21, and Telemac for coastal and river projects.
• Conduct coastal engineering design and assess coastal hazards for resilient infrastructure.
• Apply hydrologic and hydraulic principles with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and PCSWMM.
• Prepare clear technical reports documenting investigations and findings.
• Support proposal development, create work plans, and manage project tasks.
