Job summary

Stantec in Canada seeks an Intermediate Coastal Engineer to join the Ontario Team and work remotely from one of our BC offices. You will contribute to hydrotechnical, hydrologic, and hydraulic projects within the Water Resources Technical Team of Environmental Services.

You will develop models with MIKE 3/MIKE 21/Telemac, apply HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS, and prepare technical reports while supporting proposals, schedules, and budgets. P.Eng/PGO eligibility is expected; mining water experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Engineering with focus on hydrodynamics, water resources, or hydrology.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in consulting or regulatory environments.
• Professional registration with PEO or PGO eligibility to obtain P.Eng. or P.Geo.
• Mine water management experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop hydrotechnical, hydrologic, and hydraulic projects within a design team.
• Model coastal and river systems using MIKE系列, Telemac, and other tools.
• Assess coastal hazards and support resilient infrastructure.
• Prepare clear technical reports of investigations and findings.
• Assist in proposals, work plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain office-focused work with extensive data analysis.
