Job summary

nesto is Canada’s leading provider of mortgage technology and financing solutions, delivering end-to-end cloud-based mortgage software through Nesto Cloud. This fully remote role sits in the Solution Architecture team, shaping scalable platforms for lenders across Canada.

You will translate business requirements into technical blueprints, drive microservices and domain-driven design, and collaborate with product, engineering, and partners to ensure architecture is secure, resilient, and aligned

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in solution/software architecture.
• Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures across major cloud providers.
• Experience designing reliable microservices architectures and API design.
• Strong domain-driven design and event-driven architecture experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.
• Committed to continual learning and modern development practices.
• BS/MS in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications and data models.
• Design end-to-end solution blueprints for new products and integrations.
• Evaluate tools, frameworks, and cloud services for specific solutions.
• Ensure designs adhere to enterprise architecture standards and strategy.
• Communicate architectural designs and trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks during design.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners on implementations.
• Promote modern architectural best practices including Microservices and DDD.
