Job summary

Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects online PE - Civil - Structural tutors with students nationwide. As a tutor, you set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and teach from home using our platform.

Earn up to $40/hour, get paid up to twice per week, and enjoy flexible hours. You’ll be matched with students, receive AI Copilot support for session planning, and handle invoicing while we manage payments.

Qualifications

• Advanced mastery of PE Civil Structural content (load combinations, member design, codes) and ability to teach to exam depth.
• Strategic test-taking and problem-solving; guide students through beams, columns, connections, and design.
• Familiarity with PE Civil Structural depth exam challenges and use of practice exams and code references.
• Ability to identify concepts students struggle with and explain using multiple approaches.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring to individual students.
• Accept on-demand tutoring requests when available.
