About the Role

Our client, a globally recognized mining exploration company, is seeking a distinguished Chief Exploration Geologist to lead their New Ventures team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while driving the discovery of significant new mineral deposits. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and advancing high-potential exploration targets worldwide. This senior role requires a strategic mind, exceptional geological expertise, and a proven ability to manage exploration programs from grass-roots inception through to advanced exploration stages. We are looking for a visionary geologist who can shape the future discovery pipeline of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage global new business exploration initiatives, from target generation to generative exploration programs.

Requirements

• A Master's or PhD degree in Geology or a related Earth Science discipline.

• Demonstrated success in discovering economically significant mineral deposits across various commodities and geological settings.
• Expertise in geological interpretation, targeting, and project generation.
• Proficiency in geological modeling software and GIS applications.
• Strong understanding of exploration economics and risk assessment.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage remote teams and projects effectively.Must possess a strong internet connection and a suitable home office environment.
