Job summary

Varsity Tutors offers a platform for online Cell Biology tutoring with flexible hours and the ability to set your own schedule. Tutors can earn up to $40/hour and get paid twice weekly for tutoring sessions and invoicing conducted from home.

We value deep subject mastery, effective teaching methods, and the ability to adapt to different learning styles. Remote tutoring is supported through our Live Learning Platform, enabling impactful instruction from anywhere.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of cell biology, including organelles, signaling, cycles, and metabolism.
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt explanations to student needs.
• Experience explaining biology topics to advanced undergraduates or pre-med students is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1-on-1 online tutoring sessions.
• Adapt instruction to student learning styles and needs.
• Prepare and review instructional materials and explain concepts using multiple methods.
