Hootsuite Inc. is seeking a seasoned Manager of Revenue Accounting to lead the end-to-end revenue recognition function under ASC 606, partnering with Sales, Revenue Operations, Legal and FP&A from a remote location in Canada.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in accounting, a CPA, and deep IFRS/US GAAP revenue guidance in a high-growth SaaS environment, with strong communication and leadership skills to drive policy, process and controls improvements.

Qualifications

• CPA with Big Four and public company experience.
• Expertise in IFRS/US GAAP revenue guidance.
• Experience with SaaS revenue in high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as internal technical accounting expert for IFRS 15 / ASC 606 and advise stakeholders.
• Develop revenue recognition policies and write technical memos.
• Manage monthly close for revenue, including deferred revenue and commissions.
• Prepare disclosures for financial statements.
• Drive reporting improvements using industry trends and literature.
• Monitor IFRS and SEC developments to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with Sales, Revenue Ops, Legal and FP&A for system/process improvements.
• Develop training on revenue recognition for Sales and others.
• Participate in monthly and quarterly revenue forecasting.
• Coordinate with external and internal audit for revenue recognition matters.
