Job summary

GDI Ainsworth is seeking an RBAS Specialist to join our National Support Team in Mississauga. This role targets a recent graduate with foundational Building Automation experience to grow technical expertise and contribute to standards, product evaluation and customer-focused applications.

The role includes site commissioning, remote inspections, preventive maintenance, application development, and documentation.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience in Building Automation.
• Completion of a four-year university degree, a two- or three-year engineering technology or applied science program, or equivalent experience.
• Eligibility for registration with PEO or OACETT.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site commissioning and remote inspections with field technicians.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
• Develop and refine applications that meet customer requirements and enhance monitoring.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client systems, inspection reports, and service records.
• Support strategic account initiatives and contribute to major client pursuits & engagement.
• Collaborate with regional BAS teams coast to coast as determined by hiring manager.

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with site commissioning and regular remote inspections in collaboration with field technicians.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal system performance.
• Develop and refine applications that meet customer requirements and enhance remote monitoring efficiency.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client systems, inspection reports, and service records.
• Support strategic account initiatives and contribute to major client pursuits & engagement
• Collaborate & support regional BAS teams coast to coast as determined by hiring manager.

Qualifications:

• 1 to 3 years of experience in Building Automation.
• Completion of a four-year university degree, a two- or three-year post-secondary engineering technology or applied science program, or equivalent trade/field experience.
• Eligibility for registration withProfessional Engineers Ontario (PEO)or theOntario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT).
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous learning and innovation.

The salary range is $50,000 to $70,000 per year. Actual salaries will vary based on factors such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as alignment with market data. The base salary is just one component of Ainsworth’s total compensation package, which also includes additional rewards and benefits such as short-term incentives and health insurance, among others.
