Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Blockchain Security Engineer to join our remote-first team. You will safeguard blockchain platforms and applications, identify threats, and implement robust security measures to protect digital assets and user data.

You will conduct security assessments, develop tools, perform vulnerability testing, respond to incidents, and work with developers to embed security in the SDLC for crypto projects, staying current on evolving attack vectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a significant focus on blockchain security.
• Proficiency in analyzing smart contract code for vulnerabilities (e.g., reentrancy, integer overflow).
• Strong understanding of cryptography, network security, and common security exploits.
• Experience with security auditing tools and techniques specific to blockchain technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct rigorous security assessments of blockchain networks, smart contracts, and decentralized applications.
• Develop, implement, and maintain security tools and protocols to protect against cyber threats.
• Perform vulnerability analysis and penetration testing on existing and new blockchain infrastructure.
• Respond to security incidents, conduct forensic analysis, and implement remediation strategies.
• Collaborate with development teams to embed security best practices throughout the SDLC for crypto projects.
• Stay updated on the latest security vulnerabilities, attack vectors, and mitigation techniques in the blockchain space.
