Job summary

Our client, a leading international multidisciplinary consultancy, is seeking a highly skilled BIM Coordination Manager to join their remote operations team from Kimberley, BC. You will supervise the BIM coordination process across complex projects, establish BEPs, execute clash detection, and ensure a federated, high-quality BIM model.

Deliverables include standard BIM workflows, data exchange management, and ongoing guidance to project teams on BIM best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of BIM coordination and management experience on multidisciplinary projects.
• Expert proficiency in Autodesk Navisworks and/or Solibri Model Checker for clash detection and coordination.
• Proficiency with BIM authoring tools such as Revit is essential.
• Understanding of BIM standards, protocols, and workflows (ISO 19650).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills, particularly in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the BIM coordination process for multiple projects, ensuring effective collaboration among all project stakeholders.
• Develop and implement BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and coordination protocols for each project.
• Conduct regular clash detection and issue resolution meetings using BIM coordination software (Navisworks, Solibri).
• Facilitate the aggregation and merging of discipline-specific models into a federated model.
• Ensure the quality, accuracy, and completeness of the BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams on BIM best practices and software usage.
• Manage the exchange of BIM data between project participants, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
• Report on BIM coordination progress, issues, and resolutions to project management and stakeholders.
• Identify and recommend improvements to BIM workflows and technologies.
• Maintain strong relationships with project teams and contribute to a positive and productive collaborative environment.
