Job summary

Source Code is seeking a senior Data Architect to design scalable Azure-based data architecture for government-focused pipelines. You will lead ingestion, transformation, and integration using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Synapse to enable analytics and ML workloads.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement governance, and ensure secure access, privacy, and compliance across platforms. Remote-friendly with on-site meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks workspaces and governance features.
• Extensive data architecture experience aligning data with business goals.
• Experience designing analytics-ready datasets with Power BI and Synapse.
• Proficient in Git/Git for code management and collaboration.
• Strong knowledge of Azure data services and secure access patterns.
• Python, PySpark, SQL applied to enterprise ETL/ELT workflows.
• Experience extending solutions to Synapse Analytics and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure data architecture on Azure.
• Lead data ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines.
• Architect and manage data lakes with governance and access controls.
• Integrate data from ServiceNow and geospatial sources via APIs and connectors.
• Develop data models and semantic layers for reporting and ML use cases.
• Build data workflows with Python and SQL in Azure Databricks.
• Expose secure data services and APIs using Azure API Management.
• Ensure privacy and regulatory compliance through RBAC, encryption, and masking.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align architecture with goals.
• Mentor data engineers and analysts; monitor pipelines for reliability.
