Aspire Networks is a small IT provider specializing in working with small businesses of many kinds. We provide varied services including network management, workstation and server implementation and ongoing support, network cabling installation, and other support as needed. Much of our support is provided remotely, but we are still onsite frequently for hands-on tasks.

Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Remote and Onsite Technician located in Greater Edmonton Metropolitan Area. The technician will be responsible for providing technical support to clients, including troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of computer hardware and software, as well as managing network and connectivity issues. The technician will also collaborate with internal teams and vendors, as well as manage client relationships and inquiries.

Ability to travel to client sites is required. As a part of a small team, flexibility is also extremely important as we all work together to get the job done. Attitude and a willingness to learn are more important to us than experience, as our experienced techs will be there to help along the way, but you do need to know the basics. As our remote support is over the phone, clear communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Either technical support experience or a general certification such as A+
  • Excellent knowledge of at least some of : computer hardware, software, operating systems, networking, Microsoft 365 Business suite
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to clients' sites

Application Process

Please note that applicants must be able to interview in person at our office in Edmonton.

Process will consist of a phone interview, followed by an in-person interview at our office. Applicants will then be asked to come for a one day job shadow to allow us an opportunity to see how they work, and the applicant an opportunity to gain a clearer picture of what we do.
