About The Opportunity

• Outlier seeks talented English writers to help train generative AI models.
• This is a remote, reading and writing-intensive freelance opportunity with flexible hours.

Your Contributions May Include:

• Reading English texts to rank AI-generated responses.
• Writing and rewriting prompts and responses, including research and fact-checking.
• Assessing the factuality and relevance of AI-produced texts.

Desired Expertise:

• Professional writing or editing experience.
• Currently enrolled in or completed a bachelor’s degree or higher in a writing-related discipline.
• Strong writing style, exceptional English spelling and grammar, along with good reasoning skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to clearly explain strengths and weaknesses of texts.

Payment Details:

• Average pay rate for core project work by English experts in the US is USD $35/hour.
• Rates vary based on expertise, location, project needs, and other factors. Higher rates may be available for PhDs. Lower rates may apply during onboarding or overtime phases. Incentive payments may also be offered.
