About The Opportunity

• Outlier is seeking talented writers with fluency in English to help train generative artificial intelligence models.
• This reading and writing-intensive freelance opportunity is remote, with flexible hours, allowing you to work whenever best suits you.

Your Contributions May Include:

• Reading English text to rank AI-generated responses.
• Writing and rewriting prompts and responses, including research and fact-checking.
• Assessing the factuality and relevance of AI-produced text.

Desired Expertise

• Experience as a professional writer or editor.
• Currently enrolled in or having completed an associate degree or higher in a writing-related discipline at a selective institution.
• Strong writing style, excellent English spelling and grammar, and good logic and reasoning skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to clearly explain strengths and weaknesses of texts.

Payment

• Average USD $15 per hour for core project work in the US.
• Estimated up to £11/hr in the UK.
• Estimated up to $20 CAD/hr in Canada.
• Rates vary based on expertise, location, project needs, and other factors. Higher rates may be offered to PhDs. Non-core work may have lower rates. Incentive payments may also be available.
