Job Title: Account Executive (Project Manager)
idX is currently hiring for an Account Executive (Project Manager) to join our Domestic Retail Runway. The Account Executive has overall responsibility for the successful execution of assigned accounts. This manager will typically be assigned larger, more complex customer accounts, as well as multiple accounts requiring support from junior level project management associates. Responsibilities include customer coordination of design definition, value engineering, internal communication, and coordination of manufacturing, delivery, installation, and ongoing customer service. The Account Executive will lead and coordinate all activities related to assigned projects and seek opportunities to grow business from these accounts.
Travel:
Up to 20%, remote work possible, and travel required. Candidates can live anywhere in the United States.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Grow customer account value through strategic planning and management interface.
- Acquire new accounts through excellent customer service and account execution.
- Build and train an effective account team.
- Define project scope and customer expectations clearly to support teams.
- Identify and review value engineering opportunities for cost savings.
- Ensure products meet customer specifications.
- Develop project timelines and monitor progress, coordinating with the Master Scheduler.
- Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure timely and on-budget procurement.
- Participate in prototype development and review.
- Monitor production and review work-in-process and cost data, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Lead initiatives to improve gross margins, reduce costs, and enhance value engineering.
- Provide shipping instructions and verify site offload conditions.
- Assist in customer inventory reporting and review.
- Manage customer inventory to reduce obsolescence risk.
- Facilitate outsourcing of production and services as needed.
- Provide technical support to Sales and Estimating teams.
- Visit manufacturing locations for product review before production and shipment.
- Provide monthly sales forecasts for assigned customers.
- Conduct post-project reviews to identify root causes and areas for improvement.
- Manage quality costs and root cause analysis for quality improvement.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years' experience in account management within wood and/or metal manufacturing or consumer industries.
- 10+ years' experience leading project management teams in large manufacturing settings.
- Proficiency with MS Office, especially Word and Excel.
- Understanding of ERP systems.
- Technical knowledge in Architectural/Interior Design.
- Ability to work independently and multitask effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent organizational skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Exceptional customer service focus.
- Experience managing multimillion-dollar accounts.
- Proven leadership in managing large programs across regions.
- Ability to motivate and manage project teams including coordinators and managers.
- Supportive team player with open communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 annually, based on location and cost of living.
Bonus / Incentive Pay: Discretionary annual bonus based on company and business unit performance.
