Job summary

Handyman Connection is seeking a Remodeler to join the Vernon-area team. Work is performed on various home repair and remodeling projects as part of a locally owned company serving the community.

You’ll operate as an independent contractor with a flexible schedule, supported by an office team and a company app to stay organized. Projects cover Kelowna and surrounding areas, with strong repeat/referral work from local clients.

Qualifications

• Basic handiwork across multiple trades to support remodel projects.
• Ability to estimate materials and scope for common home repair tasks.
• Strong understanding of building codes and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Share expertise in home repair, maintenance, and remodeling on job sites.
• Bid work regularly and price out projects.
• Finalize materials and quantities for projects.

Job Summary:

• Share your expertise in home repair, maintenance, and remodeling on job sites.
• Bid work on a regular basis and produce it effortlessly.
• Finalize appropriate job materials and quantities for all projects.
• Evaluate requests, price out all jobs, troubleshoot, and effectively communicate with clients.

Job Requirements

• Basic handiwork in at least three (3) of these capacities:
• Home remodels, including bathroom and kitchen
• Painting, both inside and out
• General carpentry
• Drywall work
• Basic plumbing and electrical
• Floor installations and repairs
• Residential maintenance
• Understand building codes and materials management
• Driver's license & insurance
• Tools, vehicle & references
• Pass personal screening & background check
• Smart phone and Internet access

Please, no project managers or primarily new construction. Handyman Connection is strongly considering candidates with experience as a Remodeler or similar positions.
