Job description

Millar Western Forest Products Ltd. is currently seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated person with a strong commitment to productivity and continuous improvement to join our Whitecourt Pulp Division as Relief Shift Technician, responsible for quality testing on pulp. This individual will provide lab coverage, working 12-hour rotating shifts as required. Historically, this position has represented an approximate half-time equivalent and includes on-the-job training, established progression plans and excellent opportunities for advancement within the mill’s technical group. Premiums for night-shift and holiday hours are included.

The ideal candidate

The qualified candidate will possess a high school diploma, the ability to work independently within a team environment and will hold a valid driver’s license. A diploma from a technical institute, or previous laboratory experience, would be considered an asset.
