As a Regional Relief Pharmacist, you will be part of our pharmacy team dedicated to providing exceptional, patient-centered care and exceeding patient expectations. We seek friendly, knowledgeable, and professional individuals who prioritize meeting the health needs of our patients. You will work at Sobeys, Safeway, and FreshCo pharmacies within Edmonton and nearby areas including Camrose and Wetaskiwin.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work scheduled shifts across Edmonton and surrounding communities, demonstrating warmth, empathy, and compassion, acting in the best interest of patients to achieve excellence in patient-centered care, customer service, workflow efficiency, and clinical services (disease management, medication reviews, adherence, health risk assessments, injections/vaccines, etc.).
  • Provide patient counseling and education for new therapies, tailoring information to individual needs and concerns (literacy, hearing loss, privacy).
  • Initiate care plans, follow up, and ensure proper documentation.
  • Participate in professional programs and collaborate with colleagues to deliver excellent health and wellness services.
  • Engage with Fusion to ensure seamless patient experiences across locations.
  • Prioritize prescription safety, supporting Pharmacy Registered Technicians and Assistants as needed.
  • Understand all relevant pharmacy services and offer appropriate programs to meet patient healthcare needs.
  • Maintain current knowledge of pharmacy practice, regulations, and industry trends; attend training as required.
  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements, company policies, and procedures (OHS, Loss Prevention, CQI).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
  • Licensed Pharmacist in good standing in the responsible province.
  • Injection and First Aid Certification.
  • Experience with Kroll software is preferred.
