Sojourn House seeks a Relief Overnight Security Worker to provide essential security services at its shelter facilities in Toronto. This role requires strong crisis management and conflict mediation skills in a diverse environment. Candidates should have relevant experience and necessary certifications, including a current Ontario Private Security License, and be available for overnight shifts.

About the Role
We are looking for Relief Overnight Security Workers to provide replacement shift coverage on an as needed basis between the hours of 10:00 pm and 8:00 am, Monday to Sunday. The primary responsibility is to ensure the life safety and overnight security of the refugee clients at any one of the three Sojourn House shelter facilities. The shelters provide emergency shelter to refugees in a work environment where all stakeholders observe an integrated anti-oppression, anti-racist, access and equity framework.

Rate: $20.52 per hour (2025 rate)
Hours: On call, as needed, variable shifts: 12:00am – 8am, 11:00pm – 7:00am, 10:00pm – 6:00am, Monday-Sunday
