Qualifications

  • Industrial experience is an asset.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends.

Job description

Your mission:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Relief Operator to join our Machine Room department at Mondi Hinton Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Pulp Machine, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with environmental regulations.

  • Perform duties as a Utlity Operator, Car Loader or Dry End Field Operator and other related duties as assigned.
  • Perform routine cleaning, housekeeping and general maintenance to ensure equipment is functioning properly and efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of plant operations and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of operational procedures and best practices.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments and team members to address any issues that arise.

  • High school diploma or equivalent including successful completion of at least two of the following: Chemistry 20, Math 20, or Physics 20
  • Industrial experience will be considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance, and safety procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
