The Reliability Supervisor will ensure the efficiency and reliability of plant assets. The incumbent will also lead and drive the reliability initiatives of the site, reliability programs, striving for zero unplanned downtime, and improving Operational Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and assumes food safety responsibility in the absence of the Maintenance Manager. In addition, the Reliability Supervisor will develop relationships with all department leaders to meet the operational objectives of the site.
Qualifications
- Journeymen Millwright, Industrial Mechanic status, Welder, or equivalent trade
- Registered P. Eng with APEGA or similar associations is an asset
- 3+ years of reliability supervisory experience.
- Experience in food processing environment.
- Experience in vibration, lubrication, and ultrasonic analysis is considered an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong knowledge in proactive maintenance strategies.
- Proven technical abilities to effectively conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Knowledge on reliability tools such as RCA, FMEA, RCM, etc.
- Knowledge in a CMMS system, Oracle – E1, would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge in bill of material and spare parts management.
- Leadership experience: time management, planning, teaching, and mentoring.
- Microsoft Office (Excel and Project).
Responsibilities
- Review and update daily downtime reports. Review the reliability schedule on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis while ensuring the adequate maintenance of production equipment fulfills our customer contracts.
- Build, report and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly downtime reports. Identify and organize corrective action plans against the top three items monthly.
- Perform and complete Root Cause Analysis on equipment as deemed necessary by Senior Management.
- Perform, document, and communicate maintenance assessments on a continuous basis; ensuring all vibration routes are completed and necessary work orders are in place to prepare or maintain company assets.
- Monitor and identify problem areas in the facility prior to a breakdown.
- Assist in the research and implementation of new equipment.
- Ensure that equipment is performing effectively and efficiently (OEE).
- Focal point for analyzing equipment operating data. Reviews deficiencies noted during corrective maintenance.
- Optimize maintenance strategies: maintenance concept and plan.
- Develop standards and procedures for major maintenance jobs.
- Ensure quality of technical documentation and CMMS asset data.
- Promote equipment standardization, recommend spare parts levels.
- Monitor new technology and keep management/staff appraised on the new developments.
- Focal point for monitoring performance indicators for the maintenance management program.
