Job summary

Gibraltar Mine, operated by Trekor Metals Limited, is seeking a Reliability Engineer (Temporary) to join its on-site Reliability Engineering team in Williams Lake, BC. The successful candidate will analyze equipment performance, support root-cause analysis, lead maintenance initiatives, and develop budgets and plans for key projects, working with multiple on-site departments.

Registered Professional Engineer or Engineer-In-Training with EGBC is preferred, with 3–5 years in mechanical reliability

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or other related Engineering field and enrolled (or eligible to enroll) as a Professional Engineer with Engineers and Geoscientists BC.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with Ministry of Mines and WorkSafeBC Safety Standards
• Maintain, update, and analyze equipment performance data
• Support troubleshooting of machinery issues and root cause analysis
• Support and lead maintenance initiatives such as defect elimination, preventive-maintenance-optimization and equipment benchmarking
• Develop budgets, schedules, and plans for key projects
• Create and maintain engineering documents, including drawings in Solidworks
• Provide field engineering support for maintenance projects
• Liaise with engineering firms, suppliers, and contractors as necessary
• Offer general engineering technical support to operations and maintenance departments for site equipment (mobile and milling)
• Support Technical Services and other engineering projects as needed
