Job summary

Maple Leaf Foods is seeking a Reliability Engineer to lead improvements in manufacturing equipment and processes, applying engineering principles with a LEAN approach. You will drive plant efficiency, participate in equipment design reviews, and support preventive maintenance programs in a fast-paced food production environment.

The role requires 3–5 years of engineering experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or Engineering Technologist Diploma in mechanical, industrial, or electrical.
• 3–5 years of engineering experience, preferably within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
• Excellent computer skills, proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles; SAP knowledge an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support for manufacturing improvement projects to increase plant capacity, line efficiency, and Preventive Maintenance effectiveness.
• Validate new and existing processes with Reliability team.
• Review and participate in new equipment designs/upgrades/overhauls and oversee commissioning.
