Job description

SUMMARY :

This will be a Reliability Engineering position in North York on contract (about 1 year) with an international client, utilizing skills and experience related to reliability engineering in a manufacturing environment. QUALIFICATIONS :

  • 5-15 years of experience in Reliability, Engineering, or related field
  • Hands-on experience with AI / ML modeling and tools
  • Strong understanding of reliability tools (e.g., RCM, RCA, FMEA) and maintenance systems
  • Proficiency in data analysis and use of CMMS platforms
  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies and risk analysis
  • Familiarity with equipment lifecycle and asset management principles
  • Strong documentation and compliance knowledge
  • Ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and team collaboration skills

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Support new projects (e.g., FFIP PPD) from a Reliability standpoint
  • Develop Bill of Materials (BOM) and Preventative Maintenance (PM) programs
  • Deploy Reliability Industry 4.0 methodologies to reduce risks in operations
  • Apply AI / ML modeling on complex datasets with understanding of theoretical foundations
  • Target production issues to reduce downtime using Failure Elimination principles
  • Support investigations and root cause analysis; implement CAPAs for equipment issues
  • Utilize RCM tools, RCA, FMEA, statistical process control, and CMMS data to improve reliability
  • Support equipment master data activities including hierarchy, criticality, spares, and documentation
  • Collaborate with Project Engineering on reliability of new or modified installations
  • Review new installations for maintainability, spare part needs, and reliability expectations
  • Deploy risk mitigation systems and develop predictive maintenance strategies
  • Manage obsolescence using risk analysis and support MRO with functional part identification
  • Contribute to site / building risk registry and long-term asset planning
  • Support building shutdowns by reviewing and correcting PM task lists and parts
  • Promote a strong Maintenance Safety Culture for internal and external teams
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain documentation practices
  • Educate the team on building accurate equipment histories for data analysis and reliability tracking
  • Manage multiple conflicting priorities in a fast-changing environment
