Members of JANA’s Innovation Team, Reliability Engineers/Analysts develop, maintain, and improve core risk modeling technology. They ensure models are technically sound, deliver insights for safety and integrity decisions, and support deployment and client understanding of model results.

Responsibilities

  1. Monitor and refine models based on market needs and regulations.
  2. Address pipeline integrity threats in risk models.
  3. Perform risk analysis on pipeline assets under guidance.
  4. Review asset information to identify risks, threats, and mitigations.
  5. Apply data analysis techniques, including Reliability modeling, Fault Tree Analysis, RCA, and RCFA.
  6. Stay current with regulations and standards.
  7. Write and peer-review reports.
  8. Develop processes for implementing risk models.
  9. Support and train operations teams during deployments.
  10. Analyze complex data trends.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics.
  • 5+ years risk or reliability engineering experience with an undergraduate degree, or 1+ years with a graduate degree.
  • Experience with probabilistic models and statistical techniques.
  • Proficiency in coding, especially Python and SQL is an asset.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license or in progress.
  • Experience applying reliability techniques to real-world problems.
  • Initiative and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills.
  • Exposure to API, ASME, risk-based inspection programs is an asset.
  • Oil & Gas or utility industry experience is an asset.
