THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Maintenance and Reliability Manager, the Reliability Engineer will:

  • Develop and manage the Reliability and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) program to ensure optimal equipment effectiveness and efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team on the implementation of a progressive and integrated Reliability Centered Maintenance and Equipment Reliability Improvement process within the manufacturing facilities. Metrics of reliability will be defined, tracked, and managed against to ensure Plant Reliability Program effectiveness.
  • Identify, coordinate, and manage maintenance process improvements, as well as facilitate failure analyses aimed at the identification of root cause and implementation of long-term corrective actions.
  • Utilize the principles of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to solve complex technical problems and improve the maintenance and reliability of the facility assets and processes.
  • Work with Facility Engineers and Plant Production personnel to identify critical pieces of equipment to establish a machinery reliability program.
  • Establish and own the progression of a defined action plan for monitoring critical equipment and communication of the measured results.


THE QUALIFICATIONS

The right candidate will be a self-motivated individual who is organized, shows strong attention to detail, and has strong written and oral communication skills. Your credentials ideally include:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with strong technical and mechanical background with 5 years plant experience or 12-15 years plant experience with direct responsibility of plant reliability and Preventive/Predictive Maintenance programs.
  • Experience with management and implementation of capital projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems using formal techniques to evaluate systems, equipment, and failures.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals (SMRP) Certification or Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) is a plus.
  • A familiarity with CMMS software.
  • High level of computer literacy.
