Job description

The Relationship Manager is responsible for creating, developing, and managing banking relationships. The incumbent will provide intermediate-level advice and education to customers on utilizing the Bank's deposit and loan products to enhance their financial operations.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop new depository and loan customer relationships through organized, consultative approaches, including telephonic, face-to-face visits, and written communication to introduce the Bank's products and services.
  2. Participate in community events and tradeshows to promote the Bank's services and financial products.
  3. Meet with influential professionals and business owners to evaluate their financials and needs, providing expert advice on financial products and services tailored to their situations.
  4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve customer goals and address needs.
  5. Assess the creditworthiness of prospective clients independently, reviewing financial statements, analyzing risks, and modeling financial scenarios.
  6. Manage and monitor existing clients' financial conditions and business aspects, responding to their banking needs with minimal oversight.
  7. Develop marketing strategies and leverage existing relationships to solicit new banking relationships.
  8. Specialize in particular industries to better serve client needs with specialized knowledge.
  9. Scrutinize customer information for irregularities and fraud.
  10. Negotiate credit pricing, terms, and conditions with clients.
  11. Conduct site visits to examine collateral and assess credit risks.
  12. Support compliance efforts by completing relevant courses and staying informed on industry trends.
  13. Facilitate documentation for opening, closing, and renewing loans and accounts efficiently.
  14. Gather information for preliminary underwriting processes.
Qualifications
  1. At least 5 years of experience in financial commercial banking (C&I) middle market.
  2. Proven ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships in the Washington Market.

A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum base salary is $93,570 to $140,356, with actual compensation varying based on experience, location, and performance.
